NETGEAR Router Login : You can modify the WiFi password, SSID, Create network, and other router settings using NETGEAR Genie by visiting 192.168.1.1 or routerlogin.net.

Your device needs to be linked to the WiFi network of your NETGEAR router in order to visit routerlogin.net or routerlogin.com. Your NETGEAR router's default WiFi settings are on the back. To log into your NETGEAR router, follow these steps:

To log in to your NETGEAR router with the Nighthawk app:

  • Get the Nighthawk app at nighthawk-app.com.
  • Verify that the WiFi network on your NETGEAR router is linked to your mobile device.
  • Open the Nighthawk application and sign in using your NETGEAR credentials.

To log in to your NETGEAR router with a web browser:

  • Open a web browser on a device linked to the network of your router.
  • In the address bar, type http://192.168.1.1 or routerlogin.net.
  • The window for router login appears.
  • Enter the router admin user name and password.
  • The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified during setup. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
  • The Dashboard or BASIC Home page appears.

How to change Network Name (SSID) and WiFi Password?

  • In the address bar, type http://192.168.1.1 or routerlogin.net.
  • Enter Username: admin and Password: password.
  • Enter the Wireless Network Name (SSID) in the space under the Wireless tab.
  • Enter the Network Key (password) under the WPA2-PSK Security Options.
  • Apply will save the modifications.

How to recover my NETGEAR admin password?

If your admin password gets changed or forgotten, you may get it back with NETGEAR router password recovery. If you modify your router's admin password, we advise you to enable router password recovery.

To recover your admin password using the password recovery feature:

1. Open a web browser on a PC linked to the WiFi network of your router.

2. Type routerlogin.net or routerlogin.com into the URL bar of your browser.

  A window for login appears.

3. Press CANCEL.

The window for recovering the router password appears.

4. Enter the serial number of your router. Locating the serial number of your router.

5. Press CONTINUE.

6.Answer your security questions.

7.Click CONTINUE.

Your admin password displays.
